Title: The Sound Of Brushes

Title: Building A Solo On The Blues

Description: Building a solo, step by step, from elements of the jazz language. Change Running, Voice Leading, Enclosures, Be-Bop Scales, etc.

Title: The Jazz Band Trumpet Section
By: Robert Hunter & Denny Monce
Description: This clinic will address the needs of the jazz band trumpet section. It will consist of playing examples and discussions involving the role of the section players vs. the lead player. Other areas addressed will be articulations, the use of mutes, proper stylistic interpretations and confidence building with 3rd and 4th players. Bring your axe!
